Our story
Made in small batches. Worn in big light.
We started because the pairs we could afford fell apart and the pairs that lasted cost a month of rent.
How it started
One shape, forty prototypes, a very patient optician.
The first frame took a year. We cut acetate on a borrowed machine, tumbled it in a cement mixer and asked an optician down the street to tell us everything that was wrong with it. She did, at length.
Forty prototypes later the bridge sat right, the temples stopped pinching and the lens did what a lens is for. That pair is still in the collection. Everything since has been built the same way: slowly, and with someone honest in the room.
